It runs over a distance of 6 furlongs and takes place every year in September. This early September race meeting is the biggest on the calendar for Haydock Racecourse. That’s because there are two other notable races taking place on this day as well. These are the Ascendant Stakes and the Superior Mile. Both of these flat sprints run over 1 mile.
